Thai fresh market in Chiang Mai

"Ruam Chok" Thai fresh market

Is located in the north eastern part of Chiang Mai. In my view point, it's the most clean & well managed market in Chiang Mai. There are beautiful fresh vegetable, fruits, meats, seafood, ready to eat food, dessert and northern Thai food section.

On the South-western side on the market have many vegetable sellers here. Most of vegetable come from Northern area of Thailand.
Although I have a herb & vegetable garden at my home but I still have to buy mushroom, potato, onion, Thai garlic, Thai shallot for ourcooking class
A straw mushroom เห็ดฟาง Hed-Fang is absolutely delicious with Thai soup.

Sticky rice or glutinous rice ข้าวเหนียว Khao-Neaw is very popular in Northern and North-eastern part of Thailand. We eat sticky rice by hand with barbecue, soup, curry, vegetable stir-fry, meat salad etc.

Next to the rice shop, it's coconut milk กะทิ Ga-Ti shop. We use it a lot in curry. Fresh coconut milk is smell so good. You can also try to squeeze coconut milk by hand at our cooking school.
There are many ready to eat food selling here.

The Chiang Mai pork sausage ไส้อั่ว Sai Ua made with pork, curry paste and kaffir lime.
